Bill Evans composed only one Christmas-song, a tune he also wrote the lyrics to. This little Christmas-love-song, «It’s Love, It’s Christmas», is rarely recorded and it is a typical Bill Evans composition, sounding so simple, but yet with a complex twist.
10 years ago Hilde released the album «Short Stories» - an album containing among others several tracks arranged for duo vocal and harp - an unusual combination within jazz.
The album received some wonderful reviews, and stayed for some weeks as No. 1 on iTunes jazz-list.
When she recorded the album, she also recorded the composition It’s Love, It’s Christmas - to harp-arrangement by Egil Kapstad.
Hilde recorded it together with the harpist Sidsel Walstad, a harpist both known for her own musical projects and from the Norwegian Radio Orchestra (Kringkastingsorkesteret / KORK) where she is working full time as a harpist.
The tune didn’t fit on the original album, so she never released this beautiful, little Christmas-song.
Simen Hefte Endresen, the producer of the album called Hilde this autumn saying: «Did you know there’s one track from this album, a track never been released? It’s here - what about listening to it again and maybe release is - think about it! What about a Chistmas-single-track this year?»

So…. dear friends: It’s Love, It’s Christmas.
